Whether you’re a cash buyer or you’re taking out a mortgage, a survey is an essential part of buying a home. There are a range of available, all designed to check the condition the property’s in. The cheapest option is a basic valuation, but you can pay a bit extra for a more detailed home buyer’s survey, or a bit more again for an in-depth full structural survey.
