Preparing your home for photographs
Now you've decided to move here's how your home needs to be presented for photographs...
Create space by decluttering. Consider moving furniture around or even putting some items into storage, pack away things you are not using (ready for moving.)
Clear rubbish, and tidy up the recycling bins/area.
Clean and tidy kitchen surfaces, put the dishes away, and remove washing hung up on radiators.
Hoover and mop floors.
Clear out pet beds and toys.
Ask the children to tidy their rooms and put their toys away.
Make beds. Cover the beds with throws. Use colours and patterns that match the room.
Move laptops, phones and tablets so they are not on show.
Put away cleaning products in your kitchen and bathrooms: clean mirrors and shower screens.
Ensure lights are all operational. No bare bulbs.
Wall art/pictures can give a room some perspective.
Remove cars, caravans and trailers from the driveway.
Consider setting your dining/kitchen table to give it a homely feel.
If you have a real fire, light it.
