Beware of Fake Rental Listings on Facebook.

It has come to our attention that a Facebook scammer trying to extort money from tenants has used one of our properties in Stoke-on-Trent. The images and description of the property have been used by a private individual claiming to be the landlord. This individual has requested that rent and the deposit be paid to them in order to secure the property. The rent they are asking for is a lot lower than the market value. Numerous potential tenants have seen this on Facebook. We have reported it to the Police and to Facebook.

From what we understand, the individual falsely advertising the property is doing similar with other properties across the UK. Please be vigilant, if something doesn't look right report it. Cybercrime is very much a modern-day problem.
